香港開源年會 HKOSCon 2023 "COSCUP Special Track" 徵稿開始！ Call for speakers at HKOSCon 2023


COSCUP 要在香港辦活動了！！ 想到香港進行技術分享的臺灣朋友們別錯過了！

COSCUP's special event is going to take place in Hong Kong!! If you are based in Taiwan and want to share your Open-source journey in Hong Kong, take it!

HKOSCon 香港開源年會（Hong Kong Open Source Conference，簡稱 HKOSCon）是在香港舉辦規模最盛大的國際性開放源碼年度研討會。參加者包括來自世界各地的開發人員、推廣者、使用者、科技管理人員和對開放源碼有興趣的學生及公眾，旨在推動開放源碼開發理念，促進社群交流，並鼓勵工商業界使用開放源碼軟件及方案。

COSCUP 往年常與 HKOSCon 合作於台灣香港之間交換講者，建立國際交流的重要機會，今年 COSCUP 也與香港 HKOSCon 合作，讓雙方講者都能夠來往交流，特別是提供身處台灣的您更有機會到香港發表演講。

有意分享開源技術的朋友我們鼓勵您同時投稿至 臺灣 COSCUP 2023 、日本開源會議 OSC Nagoya「COSCUP Special Track」以及及本香港場次活動。本活動錄取者也有機會被直接邀講至 COSCUP 2023。

  • 徵稿期間：即日起～4/29 止
  • 徵稿對象：能夠以大會接受之語言（英語或粵語）演講、願意配合 COSCUP / HKOSCon 對此專案相關宣傳及訪問者; (及需要有台灣護照才能出國。)
  • 徵稿內容：各式 Open Source 相關議題皆可投稿; HKOSCon 2023 的年會主題為:「開源宇宙」 (Open Source Universe)，其中接受的議題內容與 COSCUP 相符，即需與「開源」、「開放」精神為基礎性質的講題。
  • 演講方式：30 min talk (含 Q&A) 的現場演講 (人需前往香港)
  • 活動日期： 6 月 08 - 6 月 10 日 (包含場佈日 6/8 至年會結束)

HKOSCon (Hong Kong Open Source Conference) is the largest international open-source annual seminar held in Hong Kong. Participants include developers, promoters, users, technology managers, students, and the public interested in open source worldwide. The goal is to promote open-source development, encourage community exchanges, and encourage the use of open-source software and solutions in the industry.

COSCUP has previously worked with HKOSCon to exchange speakers between Taiwan and Hong Kong, creating important opportunities for international exchanges. This year, COSCUP is also collaborating with HKOSCon in Hong Kong, allowing speakers from both sides to exchange ideas, especially providing those in Taiwan with more opportunities to speak in Hong Kong.


Submission content: All kinds of open-source related topics can be submitted; the theme of HKOSCon 2023 is "Open Source Universe", and the accepted topics must be in line with the "open source" and "open" spirit, which is the same as COSCUP.
  • Submission period: from now until 4/29
  • Eligibility: Speakers who can speak in languages accepted by the conference (English or Cantonese), willing to cooperate with COSCUP/HKOSCon for related promotional and interview activities (and need a Taiwanese passport to travel abroad).
  • Submission content: All kinds of open-source related topics can be submitted; the theme of HKOSCon 2023 is "Open Source Universe", and the accepted topics must be in line with the "open source" and "open" spirit, which is the same as COSCUP.
  • Presentation format: 30-minute talk (including Q&A) on-site presentation (attendees must go to Hong Kong).
  • Event date: June 8th - June 10th (including setup day from 6/8 to the end of the conference).

Early Guide to Joining COSCUP 2025 

(Updated: Feb 13) Many people in the community are excited to find out how to participate in COSCUP 2025. We’ll share more updates soon, but here’s what we can share so far! Date and Location The event will take place at NTUST in Taipei, Taiwan, on a weekend in late July to early August, as usual. The planned dates for this year are August 9-10. COSCUP 2025 Early Bird Call for Proposals

  If you are passionate about open culture and open-source technology, no matter where you are, we welcome you to join COSCUP 2025! We designed the Early Bird Program to give you more time to prepare your talk after acceptance and to help international speakers plan their trip to Taiwan. About COSCUP COSCUP is an annual conference organized by the Taiwanese open-source community since 2006.
