PostgreSQL Foreign Data Wrapper will be focused in this section. There is a simple example showing how PostgreSQL gets weather information with FDW and how to implement your own FDW. An increasing number of users are applying FDW to production environments. PostgreSQL as a data hub is an innovative thinking. You can use PostgreSQL to communicate with other relational databases, bridge NoSQL database gaps, and integrate wide variety of disparate applications.
