You followed a few OSS people on SNS, now it's time to meet them at the BoF sessions of COSCUP x GNOME.Asia x openSUSE 2018!

What is a BoF session?

Wikipedia is out best friend:
A BoF session, an informal meeting at conferences, where the attendees group together based on a shared interest and carry out discussions without any pre-planned agenda. -- Wikipedia
This year we have two forms of BoF sessions for everyone to apply for:
  1. The Plug-in one: as usual, we will provide venue and food for everyone to have fun after the formal agenda of the first day (Aug 11) is ended.
  2. The Built-in on: At 9:30-15:30 on Aug 12, we will provide a room for the community to apply for.

Why attend / host a BoF?

  • Meet people with shared interest
  • PIZZA!

So, where should I check the sessions, and show my interest to attend one?

Easy. Just write your name at the session in the BoF document!

Host a BoF session

If you want to host a BoF session, please follow the instructions in the BoF document and write down a new session. Please do remember to:
  • Send your mobile phone number to program@coscup.org, so we can contact you if neeeded.
  • For the "Plug-in" type sessions...
    1. Please arrange a person that represent your BoF group to join the coordinating meeting and estimate the amount of food at 8/11 16:00 in front of the COSCUP Information Desk at the 1st floor of the Building.
    2. Please arrange someone to get the food and drink of your BoF group at 8/11 18:30.

But, I don't have a ticket of COSCUP x GNOME.Asia x openSUSE.Asia 2018...

Not a problem, you don't need the conference badge to join a BoF session :)
