COSCUP x GNOME.Asia x openSUSE.Asia 2018 台灣最大社群攜手，記者會大咖雲集

[台北訊] COSCUP 開源人年會，自 2006 年起舉辦至今邁入第 13 年，深耕台灣開源活動與開源精神推廣。今年 COSCUP 將與亞洲其他兩大社群 ，GNOME.Asia 及 openSUSE.Asia，於 8/11-8/12 在台灣科技大學盛大舉行，除了論壇當天邀請唐鳳委員擔任開幕嘉賓，還請到跨界大來賓——資深音樂人林強擔任與談人。8/7 記者會由台灣大哥大基金會張善政董事長、富盈數據陳顯立執行長、華碩雲端吳漢章總經理，以及 COSCUP、GNOME.Asia 與 openSUSE.Asia 的代表人物，為 COSCUP 站台，並為 11、12 日的活動舉辦冰磚啟動儀式，向所有致力於台灣開源專案的貢獻者致敬，並期許未來進一步將開源精神推廣至台灣社會，突破同溫層！


全亞洲最大的開源人活動，COSCUP 開源人年會，將於 8 月 11、12 日於台灣科技大學國際大樓舉行，今年 COSCUP 聯合亞洲兩大社群，GNOME.Asia 與 openSUSE.Asia 共襄盛舉，共創亞洲最大開源盛事。COSCUP 為台灣 open source 愛好者交流與分享的大型開放原始碼研討會。自 2006 年開始，至今已經舉辦 13 年，起源於台北，串聯亞洲與全世界，是台灣自由軟體運動重要的推動者之一。GNOME 是目前全球使用最廣的開源圖形化介面，GNOME 基金會亞洲委員會於 2008 年成立，旨在推廣自由開源軟體的理念。openSUSE 亞洲高峰會是 openSUSE 社群極為重要的活動，openSUSE 為作業系統 Linux 發行版本之一，社群宗旨乃希望促進 Linux 在各層面的使用。本屆 openSUSE 亞洲高峰會為第五屆，首屆發起於北京，每屆都聚集世界各地的高手參與，交流最新的 openSUSE 開放原始碼軟體技術知識，並分享開發與使用上的經驗。


去年 COSCUP 首次邀請各界大人物參與活動，並帶來六分鐘短講，講述自身的開源故事與經驗。今年 COSCUP 將進一步挑戰新任務，邀請張善政董事長作為 COSCUP 2017 開源大人物代表，一同與 COSCUP 2018 開源大人物：富盈數據陳顯立執行長以及華碩雲端吳漢章總經理舉行行前記者會，傳承開源精神與理念。記者會中，不僅回顧 COSCUP 在台灣深耕 13 年的歷程，亦邀請到 COSCUP 第一屆總召集人，作為代表介紹開源精神，隨後亦邀各領域的開源大人物簡短分享。


作為開源榮譽代表人物張善政，除了提到對開源精神的看法以及前瞻應用外，更提及花蓮的開放農業作為案例，鼓勵合作，講述開源可以為台灣帶來不同的機會與商機。富盈數據陳顯立執行長則以「字媒體計畫」的開源精神，協助廣大內容創作者透過數位工具，讓文字閱讀更具競爭力，協助數位內容創作者帶來更龐大的被動收入，分享開源使命。華碩雲端總經理吳漢章表示：「從 10 年前將 Linux 運用在 EeePC 獲得市場好評至近年發展雲端平台運用大量的 Open Source，華碩一直是 Open Source 忠實的擁護者；Open Source 是連結開發者很重要的平台，透過共享、回饋與解決問題讓技術能更快速地進步，為台灣的系統軟體奠定良好的基礎。」

活動最後，各領域的開源大人物與 COSCUP 代表人物一同舉行冰磚啟動儀式，為活動帶來最高潮，透過冰磚注入彩色液體的儀式，表達了各界領袖將共同投入熱情、資源於開源領域中，並宣示未來將一同支持台灣開源活動與應用，突破跨領域間的限制，將開源精神散播世界各地，眾人之事，眾人助之，城市和社會，COSCUP 通過開源的理念來分享對於共同家園的熱愛；讓開源一詞雖起源於資訊產業，但開源精神不止於資訊產業。

Early Guide to Joining COSCUP 2025 

(Updated: Feb 13) Many people in the community are excited to find out how to participate in COSCUP 2025. We’ll share more updates soon, but here’s what we can share so far! You can join as a speaker, host a booth, organize a track, or become a sponsor. If you’re new to COSCUP, take a look at the article " COSCUP Unveiled " to learn more. Date and Location The event will take place at NTUST in Taipei, Taiwan, on a weekend in late July to early August, as usual. The planned dates for this year are August 9-10. Be a Speaker Our early bird Call for Proposals (CfP) is now opened!  If you have a presentation about open culture or open-source technology, we want to hear from you. Submitting early means you’ll hear back sooner about your proposal. Host a Booth Open-source communities can set up booths to display their work and interact with attendees. COSCUP 2025 Early Bird Call for Proposals

  If you are passionate about open culture and open-source technology, no matter where you are, we welcome you to join COSCUP 2025! We designed the Early Bird Program to give you more time to prepare your talk after acceptance and to help international speakers plan their trip to Taiwan. If you prefer to organize things early, this program is just for you. We look forward to welcoming you back to COSCUP, reconnecting with the community, and sharing your valuable experiences. About COSCUP COSCUP is an annual conference organized by the Taiwanese open-source community since 2006.
